08.12Cool Tools to Capture Screenshot
Previously when we want to capture website screenshot, Paint is our first choice. By pressing Prt Scr tab, images displayed in your screen frame will be captured. However, we are not satisfied with its resolution. Moreover, things that don’t be displayed on the screen cannot be captured. As this reason, if you are an expert in image processing, some of the capture tools introduced below make your life easier.
1. Webkut
Webkut - One application of Adobe Air - very simple to use and install. Webkut tool is indeed a web browser which allows you to surf the web and satisfies your desire when you accidentally want to grab a snapshot of the webpage. You can choose the save:
- Entire webpage by using All page (be aware of the image height which cannot exceed 2880 pixels)
- Frame view by using Current view. By just adjusting the size of the Webkut to fit the image frame you want to save (the image to be saved is exactly what you see in the Webkut).
- Arbitrary portion of the webpage (icons, pictures…. ) by using Selection
These images can be saved as PNG, JPG and even PDF files. Flash animations, however, will cause you some troubles when capturing and the result may return a blank space.
2. Screengrab
Screengrab - With three main functions as the Webkut (the whole page, frame view and a portion). It is a firefox application and the tool is just a small icon positioned at the right size of the status bar.
Screengrab is one step ahead compared with Webkut since it does not restrict the height size of the image and shorter processing time. Moreover, Flash screen even can be saved with this tool.
